Spreading the word: HOW CIRCLE LENSES DAMAGED MY EYES

This is for Mint, ok.
Stay strong, girl! ♡
READ HER ENTRY HERE
To let you all know that as beautiful circle lenses may be - the wrong batch may cause you your eyesight. Be it just for a while or forever. I am beyond pissed and upset on her behalf. Of course you'd have to be an idiot to not know what brands she's talking about - at least if you're a circle lenses wearer (like I am). I'll make sure to stay the hell AWAY from those brands. I will not post the names of the brands in this particular entry (even though I thought about it), simply because I don't want the involved companies to 1. sue me and 2. sue Mint. Just.. go read that damn entry already!

we love you, Mint!

  4. I just posted about this too. I'm still in shock, I had no idea it was this bad. I feel awful for Mint... I can't even describe it. I really hope her vision gets better and her eyes heal completely. It just tears me up thinking about how much it's affecting her and the things she loves... I truly hope it gets better!

  9. Oh man...I feel so bad for Minty. I really hope that her eyesight gets better and that she receives some sort of justice in the end. $500 is a BS amount considering all that she's had to go through. Eyecandy lens seems like a pretty popular circle lens shop - it's no wonder they'd only be looking out for themselves and not the consumers. I've never bought anything from them, and don't think I ever will, now that they seem sorta shady. I can't help but feel a bit scared to use circle lenses now though. I don't wear them for more than 2-3 hours at a time and always throw them out the minute they start feeling weird in my eyes, but if Minty's so careful with them and something happened to her, I can't help but think that my eyesight could be jeopardized as well.

  10. wow, that's awful, yeah I'm always sketched by random brands when it comes to contact lenses... only stick to the big name brands just in case!!

  11. Oh my God!! I read her post and how awful. D:< Not to mention it worried a lot about my own eyes.

I'm an avid wearer of contacts albeit not circle lenses specifically. I still wear them though, almost everyday (usually 5 days a week unless I'm out on weekends) because mine are prescription (although they're colored a typical light brown).

It's a terrible thing to lose one's eyesight. I pray she and everyone else out there who wear contacts will be alright and will be more careful next time around. I hope manufacturers would take responsibility too, it all starts with them to begin with! ):<

  13. I read her blog and she is SOOO thorough. I cannot believe how they treated her in the end!!!!!! Gees! It should be taken more seriously especially since she lost so much school/work time and had so much medical bills that she ended up paying for. F THEM!

  15. I read her entry and it was quite shocking! I received circle lenses from the same company (Eyexxxxlens) on January.

However the lenses seemed a bit suspicious to me at first, because they weren't the lenses I had originally ordered and they feel really uncomfortable every time I wear them. I've only worn them about three times since I received them, but I'm definitely throwing them away after reading Minty's entry! Thanks for spreading the word! ♥
